What we do

RANZCOG provides contributions to global women’s health through advocacy, training, education and research support, and through engagement with College members, regional partners and other bodies concerned with women’s health in the international arena, particularly in the Pacific region.

RANZCOG Pacific Briefing

The College’s vision and global health engagement is overseen and directed by the Global Health Committee which reports to the College Board. The GHC comprises Councillors, and members who represent interaction with regional bodies or have current, active involvement in the Pacific.

Our Vision in Global Health

RANZCOG’s vision in global health is to improve the health of women and their families, particularly in our geographical region. Through collaboration, partnerships and advocacy, RANZCOG contributes to regional efforts to empower the reproductive health workforce to meet the challenges of providing quality care in low-resource and isolated settings. RANZCOG’s commitment includes educational support, provision of resources, networking support and facilitation of training, research and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities for obstetricians and gynaecologists, midwives and other reproductive health workers.
