Certificate in Women's Health & DRANZCOG

The three qualifications RANZCOG offers in Women’s Health for general practitioners are aimed at catering to the following groups of practitioners:

Certificate of Women’s Health (CWH)

The CWH is centred primarily on office-based obstetrics and gynaecology and generally involves 3 months of either practice- or hospital-based training. For more information, see the CWH information pamphlet (PDF).

Diploma (DRANZCOG)

The DRANZCOG training program builds on the skills developed through the CWH training program. It is intended for general practitioners/residents who wish to gain skills in obstetrics and gynaecology that will enable them to safely undertake non-complex deliveries and basic gynaecological procedures. For more information, see the DRANZCOG information pamphlet (PDF).

Advanced Diploma (DRANZCOG Advanced)

The DRANZCOG Advanced is designed for medical practitioners who have gained skills in obstetrics and gynaecology through the basic DRANZCOG and who wish to further develop them to a level that would enable them to safely undertake complex deliveries, advanced gynaecological procedures and perform basic early and late pregnancy ultrasound scanning. For more information, see the DRANZCOG Advanced information pamphlet (PDF).
