UroGynaecological Society of Australasia (UGSA) Research Scholarship

About

The UroGynaecological Society of Australasia (UGSA) was established to advance all aspects of urogynaecology. UGSA’s aims include encouraging clinical and scientific research in urogynaecology, and the UGSA Research Scholarship was established in 2015 in keeping with this objective.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the UGSA Research Scholarship, applicants must:

Be undertaking a research project in the field of urogynaecology;

Undertake their research study in a hospital, university department or research institute in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand;

Have a demonstrated interest in urogynaecology by either:

Holding a membership of UGSA for two (2) or more years;

Having attended at least two (2) of the last three (3) UGSA Annual Scientific Meetings or other international urogynaecology scientific meetings; or

Have applied for or be undertaking RANZCOG subspecialty training in urogynaecology.

Fall within one of the following categories:

FRANZCOG trainees;

RANZCOG Fellows of less than five (5) years’ standing; or

RANZCOG Fellows who have been awarded the RANZCOG Certification in Urogynaecology within the last five (5) years

Have not received a RANZCOG Women’s Health Foundation awarded scholarship in the previous two (2) years (this exclusion does not apply to CU trainees).

Number of scholarships

UGSA will provide up to $20,000 in scholarship funding.

There will be two (2) funding models offered:

1

One-year scholarship funding worth up to $20,000 ; or

2

Up to two (2) scholarships funding worth up to $10,000.
