RANZCOG NSW State Committee Trainee or Fellow Research Grants

About

The RANZCOG NSW State Committee Research Grants were established in 2016 to support research in obstetrics and gynaecology and related disciplines in New South Wales, as well as to promote academia as a career pathway.

The grant funds are provided by the NSW State Committee of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and administered through the RANZCOG Women’s Health Foundation.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the RANZCOG NSW State Committee Trainee Research Grant, applicants must be registered and financial FRANZCOG Trainees, who occupy a prospectively approved training position in NSW or be on approved research leave or extended leave. The primary research Supervisor’s location of employment must be in NSW.

To be eligible for the RANZCOG NSW State Committee Fellow Research Grant, applicants must be RANZCOG Fellows of less than five (5) years’ standing at the closing date of applications. For the purpose of this grant, the current primary location of employment for Fellows must be in NSW.

Additionally, all applicants must:

Reside in NSW;

Undertake their research study in a hospital, university department or research institute in NSW;

Have not been awarded another grant for the research project that is the subject of the application;

Have not been awarded a RANZCOG NSW State Committee Research Grant within the last three years (i.e. 2020, 2021 or 2022).

Scholarship funds and tenure

Two (2) RANZCOG NSW State Committee trainee research grants ($10,000 each)

One (1) RANZCOG NSW State Committee Fellow research grant ($20,000)

Each grant is for a period of up to two (2) years. Please note that this is a research only grant.
