RANZCOG media award recipient announced

20 January 2017

In 2012, the College established the RANZCOG Media Award of Excellence initiative to recognise the important role of media in informing, and influencing the public, as well as decision-makers in the area of women’s health.
Each year, a journalist or reporter is awarded for outstanding coverage of an obstetrics, gynaecology or women’s health issue.
The College is pleased to announce Megan Howe, a Sydney-based medical writer, as the 2015-2016 recipient of the RANZCOG Media Award of Excellence.
Megan’s excellent submission titled Behind the screens, was featured in The Saturday Paper and explores issues of ethics, adequate pre-counselling and access associated with non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT).
