New Zealand O&G Workforce Working Group

25 May 2020

A New Zealand O&G Workforce Working Group has been established to look specifically at workforce issues in New Zealand.

The first meeting of the new working group will be held soon.

RANZCOG Board member Dr Gillian Gibson, who has been appointed to chair the working group, says: “It is really important that we bring together Fellows from around New Zealand, from rural and regional hospitals, from public and private sectors and representing Māori Fellows, trainees and early career Fellows.

“We want to influence the future of our profession and make sure the needs of women’s health care are met now and in years to come.”

Dr Pieter Mourik (AM)

Being recognised in the Australia Day honours was a highlight for this rural medicine advocate.
