Have your say on Perineal Tears Clinical Care Standard

08 November 2019

RANZCOG members are being urged to have their say on the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care’s draft Severe (Third and Fourth Degree) Perineal Tears Clinical Care Standard.

The standard contains seven quality statements that describe the care women should expect if they are planning a vaginal birth or they experience a severe perineal tear.

The Standard and instructions for submitting comments are available on the Commission’s website at: safetyandquality.gov.au/ccs-consultations.

The consultation period will be open until 11:59pm Sunday, 8 December 2019.

The development of national clinical care standards is a priority area in the Commission’s 2018-21 work plan.
