The Gender Equity and Diversity Working Group thanks all Members and trainees who took part in the recent Gender Diversity and Inclusion Survey and provided valuable feedback on what is important when it comes to gender-inclusive care.

Data and responses from the survey are being compiled and will be shared with various committees and working groups across the College to help inform and improve current work.

The College will also be consulting with the wider LGBTQIA+ community, key external organisations, and consumers for their feedback and lived experience on the appropriate treatment and care for gender-diverse people.

Following the end of the extensive consultation period, the findings will inform a set of key recommendations and an action plan outlining how the College might support its members and trainees in providing respectful, appropriate, and safe health care for all.

The survey also presented an opportunity for members and trainees to express interest in being involved in future diversity and inclusion work. Thank you to those who have; we will be in touch in due course.
