Upcoming events at RANZCOG

RANZCOG hosts a range of mid and major-sized events designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and professional development.

Aligned with the 2025–27 Strategic Plan, these events provide a platform to advance knowledge, enhance clinical practice, and strengthen multidisciplinary partnerships in women’s health. From the Annual Scientific Meetings to Symposia, each event offers opportunities to engage with thought leaders, discuss emerging research, and explore solutions to key challenges in the field.

By bringing together specialists, trainees, and allied health professionals, RANZCOG events support the development of a highly skilled workforce and contribute to improving health outcomes for women and their babies.

RANZCOG Symposia 2026

The RANZCOG Symposia features events across Australia, offering members and trainees the opportunity to expand their knowledge, build professional connections, and celebrate the contributions of future leaders in women’s health.

These events feature a diverse range of educational sessions, including lectures and hands-on workshops, providing insights into the latest developments in the field. A key highlight is the opportunity for trainee doctors to present their research, receive expert feedback, and further their professional growth in a supportive environment.

Regional Symposium 2026

The Regional Symposium 2026 will take place in Western Australia from Friday 21 – Sunday 23 August.

Engage with experts, share insights, and collaborate with peers on the latest research, strategies, and innovations in women’s health in Regional, Rural and Remote Australia.

Case Based Discussion and Networking Dinners

Case Based Discussion Dinners are being held across Australia and offer an intimate, collegial setting to explore complex clinical decision making. These dinners bring together peers and experts to examine two thought provoking cases, spanning medico legal issues and gynaecological surgical practice, while also considering the ethical dimensions of each scenario.

Networking Dinners offer a relaxed opportunity to join colleagues and friends, reconnect with peers, and enjoy exceptional cuisine. It’s the perfect setting to catch up with colleagues you may not have seen in some time, while strengthening professional connections in a welcoming environment.

AOFOG Congress 2026

The Asia & Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AOFOG) Congress is a major biennial event bringing together clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals from across the region.

In 2026, the Congress will be held in Warrane (Sydney), Australia, from Monday 12 – Friday 16 October, on the Traditional Lands of the Gadigal Peoples of the Eora Nation.

RANZCOG ASM 2027

The RANZCOG Annual Scientific Meeting is the College’s flagship event for obstetricians, gynaecologists, trainees, and healthcare professionals from Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. It features keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and research presentations covering a wide range of topics in obstetrics and gynaecology.

The next RANZCOG ASM will take place in the picturesque location of Hobart, Tasmania from Saturday 23 – Wednesday 27 October 2027. More information will be available soon!

Aotearoa ASM 2026

Aotearoa ASM 2026, Te Tahatū | The Leading Edge, offers opportunity to consider ‘the leading edge’ of clinical practice, latest research, technology development and practice to support health equity, within obstetrics and gynaecology in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Aotearoa ASM will run from Monday 15 – Wednesday 17 June, with pre-ASM workshops on Sunday 14 June.

Registrar Days

RANZCOG Registrar Days are provided as opportunities to support trainees learning, professional development, and preparedness for practice.

They are available for attendance both in person and online, and we welcome trainees and SIMGs from all Australian states and Aotearoa New Zealand to each event.

RANZCOG is always on the lookout for workshop assistants (OASI assistance is highly valued), event volunteers and abstract reviewers.

CPD hours, and/or discounted event registration is available for some volunteer opportunities.

Workshops

RANZCOG’s education workshops are designed to equip healthcare professionals with the practical skills and up-to-date knowledge needed for excellence in obstetric and gynaecological care.

These hands-on sessions align with the 2025–27 Strategic Plan, focusing on enhancing education and training pathways, fostering a culture of lifelong learning, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Respectful Workplaces Workshop

Gain information and strategies to support the creation of a supportive and respectful workplace.

Self Awareness Skills Training Workshop

Learn to navigate tough emotions with clarity by reconnecting with your values and building deeper understanding of yourself and others.

Training Supervisor Workshop

Compulsory for those supervising trainees in the FRANZCOG, Certificate and Associate Training Program and Associate Training Programs.

Translating Research into Practice Workshop

Learn to critically appraise evidence and adapt research and guidelines into clinical practice.
