RANZCOG Executive Leadership Team
The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) are integral to College governance.They meet weekly to determine matters, or make recommendations to the CEO and Board, regarding the direction and operations of the College.
Vase Jovanoska
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Vase leads the implementation of the College’s strategic direction as determined by the Board, overseeing all College operations including specialist training, assessment, continuing professional development (CPD), and clinical standards. She provides expert advice on governance and risk and ensures compliance with regulatory bodies such as the AMC and MCNZ.
Daniel Petkovski
Executive Director, Operations
Daniel is responsible for leading the Operations Department at RANZCOG, overseeing business units such as Information Technology, People and Wellbeing (HR), First Nations Health, DEI, Facilities and Property, the Member and Trainee Support Unit, and Historical Collections.
Gagan Cheema
Executive Director, Education Development
Gagan is responsible for driving strategic initiatives related to the education development activities including development of curricula, assessments, learning resources, CPD and evaluation. Gagan holds a Diploma of Training Design and Development and a Master of Educational Leadership.
Stephen White
Executive Director, Training
Stephen oversees the operational functions relating to delivery of all College training programs, encompassing training administration, policies and regulations, examinations, training site accreditation, trainee selection and SIMG assessment.
Michelle Zhang
Executive Director, Finance, STP and Risk
Michelle is a certified practising accountant (CPA) with more than 15 years’ experience in financial and management accounting, project management and data analysis.
Catherine Cooper
Executive Director, Aotearoa New Zealand
Catherine leads RANZCOG’s Aotearoa New Zealand office and operations. Catherine has a particular focus on advocacy for women’s health, working closely with committees Te Kāhui Oranga ō Nuku, He Hono Wāhine and the Aotearoa New Zealand Committee.
