About

The Self Awareness Skills Training workshop will discuss the importance of emotional intelligence and give senior and junior health professionals the skills needed to develop a psychological toolkit to alleviate stress and reduce vulnerability to burnout.

This workshop is suitable for:

  • RANZCOG Fellows,
  • Associates,
  • General Practitioners,
  • Junior Doctors,
  • Trainees, and
  • Midwives.

This workshop has been approved for CPD hours.

Learning objectives

Participants will gain a better understanding of their behaviour responses to certain emotions and learn healthy ways to deal with difficult feelings by reflecting on their values and identify their blind spots to gain insight into themselves and those around them.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

Develop self-awareness and implement strategies to effectively manage factors that influence personal wellbeing and professional performance.

Build practical skills for resilience, including techniques for adapting to, and recovering from challenging situations.

Competently balance competing personal and professional priorities to support sustainable, long-term practice.

Cultivate mentoring skills and contribute to a supportive professional culture by identifying, supporting, and responding appropriately to colleagues in need.

  • Sunday 22 March 2026 8:30am – 5pm FRANZCOG Trainees, Junior Doctors, Midwives
