Eligibility

As outlined in the RANZCOG Regulations (Section C5.3), Subspecialty trainees must have been credited with a minimum of forty-six (46) weeks FTE of prospectively approved and satisfactory training in the subspecialty training program by the examination application closing date.

Important reminder

Candidates planning to sit the examination must submit their Training Assessment Record (6MA) as soon as possible after the end of the semester and well before the stipulated due date to allow sufficient time for review and approval.

This is particularly important for candidates who have not yet been credited with the minimum required training weeks (46 weeks) at the time of submitting their expression of interest for the examination. In such cases, approval of the 6MA by the application closing date is essential to meet the eligibility criteria.

Online application process

1. Submit your online Expression of Interest to sit the examination

Please see the relevant dates and registration section above.

All expressions of interest are subject to eligibility checks after the application closing date. The eligibility criteria include the payment of your training fee for the current year, as well as the completion of TARs by the Expressions of Interest closing date.

2. Eligibility checking

Once checking has been finalised, you will receive a letter from the Examinations Team confirming your eligibility outcome to sit the examination.

This will occur within four weeks of the applications closing.

3. Pay examination fees

Upon receiving the eligibility outcome, you must pay the examination fees within seven days to secure your examination placement.

Please advise the Examinations team by emailing examinations@ranzcog.edu.au if you wish to withdraw from the examination after submitting your expression of interest form, or exam payment.

Before submitting your application, please refer to the RANZCOG Regulations (sections C4-C5 on the Subspecialty Examinations) and the Examinations Policy and Procedure (section 2 – Subspecialty Examinations Written and Oral) for more information on topics such as eligibility, availability of places and withdrawals.

All additional support requests for examinations must be emailed to examinations@ranzcog.edu.au, accompanied by relevant supporting documentation. For further information, please refer to the Additional Support Request Policy.

Resources

Trainees can access a range of general and specific resources to prepare for the subspecialty examinations through the RANZCOG e-learning system, Acquire.

Preparing for Examinations Webinar
This webinar shares tips on how to prepare for examinations from a psychological perspective.

Results

Trainees will be advised of the release date for results at a pre-examination Q&A webinar held prior to the examination.

On this date, you will be able to access your results by logging into Integrate with your five-digit RANZCOG ID number and your password.

The College recommends accessing your Integrate account well before the release date to confirm your login details. To reset your password, please click the ‘Forgotten password’ link.

Please note that the College has several mechanisms in place to check all examination results during processing to ensure they are correct prior to release. As such, the College does not remark examinations unless a procedural error has been identified after results have been released.
