Hospital Reaccreditation

Reaccreditation of Training Sites

Hospitals are normally reaccredited on a four-yearly cycle. When due for reaccreditation, hospitals are contacted by the College to arrange a mutually convenient date for a site visit. The composition of the reaccreditation team and the structure of the visit is similar to that for an initial accreditation visit (refer to Hospital Accreditation). The team’s objective is to assess the training provided by the relevant site in accordance with the College’s accreditation standards and guidelines.

For full details of the reaccreditation process, please refer to the Accreditation Standards and Guidelines for Hospitals in the FRANZCOG Training Program (pdf, 546 kb).
