Training Supervisor Workshop

About

The Training Supervisor Workshop has been developed for supervisors of trainees who are undertaking:

Fellowship of RANZCOG (FRANZCOG)

Certificate of Women’s Health (CWH)

RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Procedural) (PTP)

RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural) (APTP)

The Training Supervisor Workshop builds on the Clinical Education Training program (CET Part1 and CET Part 2), which you must complete prior to attending supervisor training.

Please note that you must complete the Supervisor Training Workshop within one year of being appointed as a supervisor.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

identify the roles and responsibilities of a RANZCOG/PTP/APTP supervisor

differentiate between teaching and teaching for learning

discuss ways to modify teaching to individual trainees

set goals with a trainee

practice using Pendleton’s model of feedback

identify RANZCOG assessment requirements and the potential impact of assessors on validity and reliability
