Fellows can join the RANZCOG Expert Witness register to make themselves available to organisations who require expert medico-legal opinion.
Introduction
Fellows can join the RANZCOG Expert Witness register and nominate an area of practice in which they are willing to provide expert medico-legal opinion.
Organisations that require an expert witness can specify location, gender, and the areas of expertise they require and RANZCOG can provide the names of specialists that meet this criteria.
Eligibility and guidelines
Fellows who wish to be registered with the College as an expert witness will need to read and agree to abide by the following guidelines:
Fellows must also:
Hold unconditional registration as a medical practitioner AHPRA or the MCNZ;
Be in good standing with the College;
Be in compliance with the Continuing Professional Development program of the College, including completion of any medico-legal component, if available.
