He Hono Wāhine 2020 hui

16-18 October 2020, Ōwhata Marae, Rotorua

For RANZCOG Fellows, trainees and their whānau. Please register your attendance with Jude Kaveney [email protected] by 11 September 2020. 

Join ​He Hono Wāhine in their mahi to improve health and wellbeing for wāhine Māori and their pēpi. Increase your cultural knowledge and confidence in a supportive environment. The hui follows a flexible format with discussion and activity around the following:
  • He Hono Wāhine’s planning and priorities for 2021
  • Tikanga Māori: pohiri, marae protocols, history of the marae and region, whakawhanaungatanga
  • Waiata: learn our RANZCOG waiata
  • Māori health research: updates from those working with Māori in research
  • Tuakana Teina relationships: fostering the role model relationships between RANZCOG Fellows and juniors (trainees, PGYs, medical students)

Apart from travel costs, the hui is free to attend, as catering, bedding packages and accommodation expenses are all covered by RANZCOG.
