Our College

RANZCOG is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the establishment of high standards of practice in obstetrics and gynaecology and women’s health.

The College trains and accredits doctors throughout Australia and New Zealand in the specialties of obstetrics and gynaecology so that they are capable of providing the highest standards of healthcare.

The College also supports research into women’s health and acts as an advocate for women’s healthcare by forging productive relationships with individuals, the community and professional organisations, both locally and internationally.

College accreditation

AMC and MCNZ accreditation

At its meeting in November 2019, the AMC resolved to grant an extension of the accreditation of the RANZCOG training and education programs and the continuing professional development programs in the specialty of obstetrics and gynaecology by four years to 31 March 2024. At its meeting on 11 and 12 February 2020, the MCNZ decided to extend the RANZCOG’s accreditation for the remaining balance of its accreditation period (until 31 March 2024) in line with the AMC.
