Our work

RANZCOG, a not-for-profit organisation, supports research into women’s health, and acts as an advocate for women’s healthcare by forging productive relationships with governing bodies, the community and professional organisations, both locally and internationally.

As the peak body in education, training and advocacy in obstetrics and gynaecology, we support all women and the clinicians who treat them.

Our History

RANZCOG was formed on 23 October 1998, with the amalgamation of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RACOG) and the Royal New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RNZCOG).

Operations

College accreditation

RANZCOG is accredited by the Australian Medical Council and Medical Council of New Zealand to deliver specialist medical education and training, and professional development programs in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Advocacy

We advocate for improvements for all women’s health consumers, and the doctors who treat them.

Academy of Clinician Educators (ACE)

An initiative designed to support, develop, and recognise clinician educators.

Assessment, Learning and Examination Centre (ALEC)

RANZCOG’s premier medical examination venue, available for hire.
