How to embed a wellbeing program in your workplace
Dr Madeleine Ward and Dr Rebecca McDonald
Monday 5 September, 10am–11am AEST
Are you interested in ways to support the wellbeing of your trainees, colleagues and O&G department? Hear from key members of the Monash Covid-19 Kindness Toolkit Group who created a peer-led series of workshops and resources using previously-validated tools to improve wellbeing and self-care, and avoid burnout for their peer trainees.
Mater Mothers’ hot debrief after a critical event
Stephanie Barwick, Dr Pita Birch, Dr Sarah Janssens, and Dr Amy Kwan
Tuesday 6 September, 6.30pm–7.30pm AEST
The Mater Mothers’ Hospital Critical Event Hot Debrief Working Party identified a lack of formal processes for immediate support following events that emotionally impact staff – including RANZCOG trainees and specialists. Trained staff now conduct ‘hot debrief’ as a matter of routine and feel supported by both their peers and the organisation as a result. Hear from key members of the working party as they share their journey with you.
Facing adversity, finding connection
Dr Vijay Roach, Dr Helen Schultz, Dr Basia Lowes and Dr Katrina Calvert
Thursday 8 September, 6pm–7.30pm AEST (RUOK Day)
One of the most difficult situations we can face is managing a crisis that leads to an adverse outcome for our patient. Although not uncommon, we go to ground, full of shame, and wait for the questions about why. This is your chance to come together and hear from senior colleagues about how they manage adverse outcomes and what we fear going forward if our informal channels of support are gone.
This webinar is safe space for our members and trainees to hear from their fellow O&G peers. An email with a registration link will be sent to all members on Tuesday 30 August, or you can email wellbeing@ranzcog.edu.au to be registered.
