Statement on the situation in Gaza and Israel

RANZCOG

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

Updated
23 October 2023

As the humanitarian crisis unfolds in Gaza and Israel, RANZCOG calls upon those in power to protect non-combatants impacted by the war.

All people, including pregnant women, women who have recently delivered, newborns and children, have a right to life, health and dignity.

The members of RANZCOG mourn the suffering and loss of life, call for the immediate protection of civilians and healthcare, and stress upon all involved the need to end hostilities.

The College has in its thoughts members and their families who may be impacted by this crisis.
