Restriction changes enable gynaecologists to administer botox for IOAB treatment

As of 1 July 2017 restrictions as to who can administer intravesical injection of Botox® for the treatment of idiopathic overactive bladder (IOAB) under Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) item 18379 has changed. The new change enables gynaecologists to provide this service where it was previously restricted to urologists and urogynaecologists.
