Response to the Health Committee of New Zealand House of Representatives Report on Surgical Mesh

On 1 June 2016, the Health Committee of the New Zealand House of Representatives released a report in response to a petition by two patients that have experienced complications from surgical mesh.

As part of addressing this petition, the Health Committee sought opinion from a number of experts, various medical Colleges (including RANZCOG) and Medsafe, New Zealand’s Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority.
