Our values

Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a highly rewarding career that entails many emotional and physical demands. The RANZCOG Organisational Values Award is part of various initiatives to acknowledge, encourage, and celebrate trainees and members who best exemplify our values.

RANZCOG’s values are:

Nominations are now open

Nominations are open for the RANZCOG Organisational Values Awards and will close on Friday 17 March 2023.

The RANZCOG Professional Standards Committee will assess nominations for the award. Awards will be presented at the closing ceremony of the RANZCOG Symposium on 25 July 2023.

Individual winners will receive full registration costs to attend the State Scientific Meetings /New Zealand Annual Scientific Meeting and tickets to attend the meeting dinner.

Individual awards

Who can nominate for individual awards?

To be eligible to submit a nomination for the individual award, the nominators must be RANZCOG Members, hospital administrators, medical practitioners who are not members of RANZCOG, midwives, nurses and RANZCOG staff members. Please note for individual awards, self-nominations will not be accepted.

All nominations must be proposed and seconded.

Who can be nominated for individual awards?

The nominee must be a RANZCOG member, this includes, Fellows, Diplomates, SIMGs, Trainees, Certificants and those with a Prevocational Affiliate Membership.

Group awards

Who can nominate for group awards?

To be eligible to submit a nomination for the group award, the nominators must be RANZCOG member. Eligible members include Fellows, Diplomates, SIMGs, Trainees, Certificants and those with Prevocational Affiliate Membership, or RANZCOG staff member.

All nominations must be proposed and seconded.

Who can be nominated for group awards?

The nominees can be any group of two or more individuals that exemplify our values. Nominee groups may include O&G departments, RANZCOG Committees and relevant Community Groups or Organisations.
