Postponement of RANZCOG 2020 New Zealand ASM

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) has announced the postponement of the RANZCOG 2020 New Zealand Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) in Wellington, New Zealand, which was scheduled to take place 10-12 June 2020. This includes all associated workshops to have been held before and after the ASM.

The decision to postpone the event was made by the RANZCOG Board in consultation with Te Kāhui Oranga ō Nuku. The extraordinary circumstances created by COVID-19, limitations on travel, both within New Zealand and overseas, and the potential impact on the medical workforce in Australia and New Zealand, allowed for no other option.

In arriving at this decision, the Board considered, primarily, the health, safety and wellbeing of our members, trainees, staff, attendees, exhibitors and sponsors, suppliers, and the community.

The College will liaise closely with Te Kāhui Oranga ō Nuku to reschedule the ASM to a later date.
