Member Advantage incident

We wish to inform our members of a recent incident which occurred at Member Advantage.

On the 19th of May 2020, an employee of Member Advantage clicked on a link which purported to be an invoice from a known source. It turned out to be a piece of malware which was used to capture some email addresses from the team member’s Outlook account.  As a result, it sent out emails from Member Advantage with a similar invoice. A small number of email addresses only have been exposed. No sensitive data was exposed. Member Advantage have since fixed the vulnerability that resulted in this piece of malware. 

Some members email address may have been exposed in the breach. These are the only pieces of data that were exposed. No other personal information was accessed. You may have received an email from Member Advantage with an invoice or other similar correspondence, please do not open any links if you are in any way suspicious.
