RANZCOG is seeking to recruit a consumer representative for a Cultural Safety Steering Group (CSSG).

Background

RANZCOG has identified that there is a need for a unified and consistent approach to embedding cultural safety in RANZCOG training programs, codes of conduct and professional standards across the College.

About the CSSG

Reporting to the RANZCOG Board via the Professional Standards Committee (PSC), the CSSG will be responsible for overseeing this work and will review and suggest ways in which culturally safe practice can be best be incorporated into RANZCOG activities and work such as through the development/ revision of existing RANZCOG statements, guidelines and other documents.

The CSSG will consist of members from across Australia and New Zealand with diverse experiences, knowledge and backgrounds to deepen our understanding of cultural safety and inform this work.

Your role

Should you be successful in your application, you will be part of a group that wants to make positive change and progress for our members and the community.

You will provide your valuable insights and feedback from a consumer perspective, into cultural safety practices within the community that RANZCOG can embed within our training programs, codes of conduct and professional standards, statements, and guidelines.

The appointment will be for the duration of one year. As a consumer representative, you will be remunerated in accordance with the Consumer, Community and Other External Representatives on RANZCOG Council and Committees Appointment and Remuneration Policy.
