The discussion will focus on some of the more challenging clinical scenarios faced by Specialists and GPs alike, as well as speaking to very common everyday issues that can be as challenging.

Invited panellists

Fellow Professor Deborah Bateson

An Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health of the RCOG, Deborah is Professor of Practice at the Daffodil Centre in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. She has worked as a clinician, researcher, educator and advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights for over 20 years.

Fellow Professor Kirsten Black

Kirsten is a RANZCOG Fellow and a specialist in sexual and reproductive health with a qualification from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in the United Kingdom.

Fellow A/Professor Lisa Hui

A RANZCOG Fellow, Lisa is a maternal fetal medicine specialist with special interests in prenatal screening and diagnosis, particularly the use of cell-free nucleic acids in the diagnosis of fetal abnormalities and prediction of obstetric complications.

Consumer representative Tara Forde (she/her)

Tara is an avid fan and user of reproductive health services. She believes in free and accessible sexual health services that people want to use. She has worked in political advocacy, Ministerial offices, and is now an apolitical public servant. She is a proud parent to a 22-month-old child. She is a member of the RANZCOG Consumer Network Working Group.

Host

RANZCOG Vice-President Dr John Regan

John is a practising Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Melbourne with his principal public appointment being Head of Obstetrics at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton.

He is currently the Chair of the Subspecialties Committee, having previously been involved with the Women’s Health Committee, the Continuing Professional Development Committee, the Finance and Risk Management Committee and the SIMG Committee.
