On Mother's Day we say thank you

12 May 2019

The women that we care for are at the centre of RANZCOG. All women. Today we express our gratitude to the mothers in our community, the women who have gifted us unconditional and unending love. Through pregnancy, childbirth and life-long parenting, mothers are emblematic of what it means to give, what it means to be selfless. Even in a modern world, there is so much to be done to care for mothers throughout the world. Too many mothers die. Too many mothers suffer the consequences of childbirth. Too many mothers are abused and neglected. Those who gave us life deserve better and we must commit to making it so.  RANZCOG celebrates all mothers on Mothers’ Day, remembers those who are no longer with us, and says, quite simply “thank you”.
