New Cancer Australia Statement identifies ‘what ought to be done’ in breast cancer

To address the unwarranted variation that not all breast cancer patients are receiving the most appropriate care, Cancer Australia have developed a Statement on Influencing Best Practice in Breast Cancer. This Statement identifies 12 appropriate and inappropriate practices in breast cancer, from diagnosis to palliative car, highlighting what ‘ought to be done’ in breast cancer care to maximise clinical benefit, minimise harm, and deliver patient-centred care.
