Guide to Pregnancy and Work

A new Guide to Pregnancy and Work has been released by the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).
This resource provides general information and advice to practitioners regarding workplace pregnancy issues for pregnant women in the workplace, women of reproductive capacity who are at work, employers, postpartum employees and health professionals. This Guide highlights the benefits of a supportive workplace and aims to be of practical use to obstetricians when advising about pregnancy and work. It is not intended to be a substitute for specific advice for women of reproductive capacity, pregnant employees, or postpartum employees from their health practitioner.
The Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) was one of a number of organisations who provided feedback and input during the preparation of this document.
