Celebrating Nurses

12 May 2019

May 12 is International Nurses Day. After the doctors have finished the operation, made a diagnosis or prescribed treatment, for the other 23 hours and 45 minutes of the day our patients are cared for by nurses. With clinical skill and acumen, kindness and compassion, nurses underpin the medical system in every jurisdiction. RANZCOG acknowledges with respect and gratitude the professionalism, competence and the vital importance of our nursing colleagues, our equal partners in health care. On International Nurses Day, we thank you for teaching us, for supporting us and for the extraordinary care you give to every patient, every day, in every way.
