This information is for Certificants and Associate Members not in RANZCOG’s CPD Home or those thinking of joining.

CPD requirements

 8 CPD hours related to women’s reproductive health, including a minimum of:

Educational Activities (EA)*

Outcome Measurement (OM)

Performance Review (PR)

Total hours of activities

You are not required to log these activities in the RANZCOG portal (Integrate). You must log your goals and activities related to women’s health in your Professional Development Plan (PDP) with your CPD Home.

If selected for an audit, you will be notified and you will need to provide a Compliance Certificate from your CPD home for the CPD team to review. 

Maintaining your annual membership

You no longer need to log into RANZCOG’s CPD portal (Integrate) throughout the year and should log all women’s health CPD activities with your registered CPD Home.

When completing your annual membership renewal with RANZCOG, you will be asked to declare compliance with a CPD Home (if RANZCOG is not your registered CPD Home), as well as compliance with CPD hours in women’s health for the last CPD cycle.

Reinstatement to the Register

If you’re currently practising and were previously registered as a Certificant or Associate (Procedural) and Associate (Adv. Procedural), you can apply to be reinstated.

Domains

Educational Activities (EA)

Includes structured learning, self-directed learning, education events, involvement in leadership roles, RANZCOG activities.

Outcome Measurement (OM)

Includes measurement of outcomes of care, benchmarking of performance with peers, reflecting on patient outcomes.

Can also include clinical audits, writing guidelines or statements, publishing articles, assessing incident reports, research

Performance Review (PR)

Includes reviewing and reflecting on actual work processes and can include feedback from peers, colleagues and patients, peer review and discussions.

Can also include reflecting on an activity, including contributions to personal development and improvements to scope of practice.

Issue of certificates

From 2023, the College will issue Associates (Procedural), Associates (Advanced Procedural) and Certificants with a:

  • Recertification certificate with a duration to December 2023. This certificate will be available for download from the My.RANZCOG portal.
  • New Certificate, RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Procedural) (PTP) or RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural) (APTP), including the date on which it was awarded. This qualification will not be re-issued at the end of each CPD cycle and will be available for download from the new CPD portal. An annual compliance statement will also be available for download.

The Certificate, RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Procedural) and RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural) qualifications are jointly awarded by RANZCOG, together with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
