Dr Louise Rawlings

Louise has worked on economic and industry policy at the federal level including in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the Department of Industry and the Department of Employment for over a decade. Louise has a PhD from the University of Queensland on regional economic development and is engaged in several economic research projects at the ANU. She has published on labour economics, health economics and on regional innovation, and is a member of the ACT branch of the Economic Society of Australia and the Women in Economics Network. Louise has three young children and lives in Canberra.

Professor Steve Robson

Steve is President of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
 
He is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a special interest in IVF and reproductive surgery, based in Canberra. In addition to his private practice, he is a VMO at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children and a clinical academic at the Australian National University.
 
He is the author of numerous articles, research papers, conference presentations, and book chapters, and is the co-author of a popular undergraduate textbook.
 
He has a special interest in advocacy for women at disadvantage, including women in Pacific countries and women from culturally- and linguistically-diverse backgrounds.

Tara Taubenschlag

Tara Taubenschlag has worked in government relations, communications and journalism for more than 15 years.

As Managing Director of CMAX Advisory, Tara has counselled clients from a range of sectors including health, mining and resources, agriculture, defence and the arts on media management, reputation management, corporate communications, issue management and corporate social responsibility.

Tara's professional experience in the health sector is extensive. She has worked with a range of hospitals around Australia and one of the largest medical technology companies in the world. Tara currently sits on the board of Send Hope Not Flowers, a maternal health charity which aims to improve maternal health outcomes in developing countries. Tara has received an Australian Government Award for her volunteer services in East Timor, was named the 2013 Government Relations Practitioner of the Year and was a finalist in the 2015 Telstra Business Women's Awards.

Carla Wilshire

Carla Wilshire is the CEO of the Migration Council Australia: Australia’s national research and policy institution on migration, settlement and social cohesion. 

Carla has a background in policy development, corporate governance and tertiary research. She has worked as a public servant and advisor to Government, principally in the area of migration and resettlement, including as Chief of Staff to the Minister for Multicultural Affairs. Carla is a member of the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity, which provides policy advice to the Council of Chief Justices of Australia on improving access to justice for culturally and linguistically diverse Australians and she is a Member of the Harmony Alliance Council, Australia’s peak advocacy body for migrant and refugee women. Carla is also a member of the National Anti-Racism Partnership and co-founded the Friendly Nation Initiative, which aims to link corporate Australia with the settlement community to improve employment outcomes for refugees.
